Billing & Insurance
We participate with most local and many national insurance plans. However, in most instances, we are limited to participating with insurance plans that contract with Brigham and Women’s Hospital. It is your responsibility to understand whether your insurance has limits on the doctors you can see, or the services you can receive.
If you provide complete and accurate information about your insurance, we will submit claims to your insurance carrier and receive payments for services. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be responsible for co-payments, co-insurance, or other deductible amounts.
Both gynecologic and obstetric patients may get bills from our office AS WELL AS the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Our bills are for professional services and will arrive on paper in the mail. They can be paid either by check or credit card, but NOT through Patient Gateway. Bills from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which could reflect lab processing, mammograms and ultrasounds, outpatient and inpatient facility charges, anesthesia charges, etc. will come through Patient Gateway and also on paper in the mail; they can be paid through Patient Gateway or as directed in the bill.
Please contact our billing office or call your insurance carrier should you have questions.
